JOIN US FOR A SPECIAL WEAVING WORKSHOP w. Zimmi Forest from Weaving Nature

Learn the simple techniques to transform natural fibres from local Bangalow Palm into utilitarian baskets or sculptural objects. Random weave is a really satisfying technique that can be used to give amazing results. In this class, students will complete a simple, beautiful basket made from local bangalow palm inflorescences.

When? Saturday September 28th 2019

Time? 10am - 3pm

Where? The Corner Palm; 1/16 Brigantine St Byron Bay (Industrial Estate)

Who? Anyone aged 12 years +

Cost? $120 pp includes all materials, expert tuition for 5 hrs, a basket to take home with you and snacks. 10% DISCOUNT if you book for 2 or more people.

Bring? A water bottle, a pillow or something to sit on the ground comfortably (chairs also available)

About the Instructor

Zimmi came to art through a passion for sustainability and the environment. She creates work with nature, about nature and in nature. With over 25 years experience of making, exhibiting and teaching basketry and fibre art, she has a wealth of knowledge on most things fibre.
